“REKORD” Watch-Making Company Ltd. originated in 1993 when the actual Directors of the Company launched their watch business in Moscow in collaboration with partners.
Main activities of the Company that time laid in production of bespoke watches ordered by Russian state and commercial organizations.
Some years later with the project progressing successfully the time came to create the Company’s first own brand.
That was to become GARO watch brand, which grew immensely popular in the mid 90-s of last century. However the project was closed in 1999.
That same year a new Company was founded and the reformed team of managers and shareholders acquired the rights for Rekord è SOYUZ trademarks aiming at implementation of its vision and business structure strategy. They came to a determination to develop several collections under Rekord trademark for the markets of Russia and the CIS Countries. Rekord is an umbrella brand incorporating four collections, each with its own philosophy, market positioning in various price segments and targeting at dissimilar customer groups. The main stress at that is placed on the two series of mechanical watches including those with complicated features.
In their activities the Company Directors have always placed greatest emphasis on gathering strong team of watch art professionals. They did prove right. Owing to the efficient, competent and correct decisions, creativity of the talented team members, denial of any compromises with respect to the quality of Rekord watches the Company gained the overwhelming success few can match. By the end of 2003 Rekord brand was already within the first three leading Russian brand names in terms of sales volume. Since then Rekord has been firmly holding its leading market position and is steadily developing its success at present.
The strategy of the Company development considers manufacturing unusual and original timepieces, regarding both design and features.
Rekord Watch-Making Company Ltd. is in constant quest of new opportunities and gaps. After thorough consideration, market analysis and pilot sales in the European and American markets in 2004-2005 a decision of full-scale launching of a new SOYUZ Premium project was taken. Those are not merely prestigious mechanical watches comprising more than 70 models with complicated features but also they represent a historical saga dedicated to the great country – the Soviet Union.
Upon the glorious success of the SOYUZ project at the international fairs Inhorgenta 2006 and BaselWorld 2006 and having received a great number of orders from Mexico to Singapore we may boldly state the fact that the products of the “REKORD” Watch-Making Company have become internationally known, world-famous and popular. SOYUZ watches are presented under the REKORD Premium trademark in the Russian market.
Under the agreement with Playboy Enterprises, Inc. (USA) Miss Anna Starykh, the charming Playboy Star, Playmate of the Year has become an official envoy of the Rekord trademark in Russia since 2006. She introduces to your attention, Dear Customer, the new Collection of “REKORD-Premium”.
It’s not characteristic of the “REKORD” Watch-Making Company Ltd. to ever halt at what has been achieved so far. The Company is defiantly and confidently looking into the future foreseeing it at present. There is no peer to the “REKORD” Company in the way it understands and meets its clients’ demands and wishes, the fact being firm grounds for the Company’s success today as well as in its strategic prospects.
